Clarins: the Products I actually love

Although living in France for most of my life and being very familiar with the Clarins brand, I was never a costumer except for a Eye Cream I tried almost 10 years ago and a Express Make Up Remover I got when I purchased their FEED pouch for charity in the past.
Even if both experiences were positive and I had friends using and raving about Clarins, but I always found it to be a "mature" brand, one to look forward to using and not starting in my 20s, such as Lancôme, Sisley, La Prairie, La Mer, Chantecaille... Is it in my head only?

Now that I am close to my 40s I took the leap. Whilst vacationing at Vidago Palace Hotel in May 2024, I got a massage at their Spa by Clarins and it was quite an experience.
I asked for a reinvigorating 50-minute massage - The Body Lift Sculptor - as I was working out very often and wanted to feel a bit leaner and with less inflamed legs and thighs. And it really worked as I went to the toilet before the massage, during and right after, just draining out toxins and retained fluids out of my body. I was seriously impressed and wanted to feel like I could have such a massage daily in my life. I can't live at the hotel - I wish - so I bought their Body Active cream to recreate the experience at home and massage especially my legs and thighs after a workout.
The Mask that changed everything
What truly made me connect with the brand was an Andreea Ali recommendation (I love all her beauty advice!) was their Cryo-Flash Face Cream-Mask which promises an instant tightening, skin firming and glow boost. Andreea says she uses it on clients when they did not have enough sleep and need a facial boost before applying on skincare and their make up for an event or a photo shoot. Well, I frequently look tired - even when I am did have proper sleep! - so it was enough for me to purchase it and try it.
Clarins Cryo-Flash Cream-Mask
Oh. My. God.
The instant freezing sensation is something I have never felt before! Your face temperature immediately drops and you feel immediate effects while you have it on for just 10 minutes. And then comes the time to wash your face away and both face and hands are just so cold! It's such a both weird and satisfying sensation! Your face is immediately firmer and ready to soak in your skincare products and make-up. I liked this mask so much I have already purchased it to gift to 3 dear friends a few weeks ago.

I was at a El Corte Ingles recently and stopped by the Clarins beauty counter. I took the opportunity to try their newest launches: the Double Serum foundation and the matching Gua Sha-inspired brush. After a few tests on my skin, the attendant found my perfect shade (M3N, which means Medium Shade, Intensity 3, Neutral Undertone).
I have never tried anything so perfect on my skin ever in my life and I had to bring it back home. Alas, the brush was sold out but I can confirm it makes the application experience very comfortable and as if it went through all the crannies and nooks in your face.

I also got some moisturisers and this lip balm (now full size) from the website. And all in all, as I am a Clarins Club Member, they gave me lots of samples and a pouch with both my offline and online purchases. How crazy is that?
