Beauty Empties - November 2024

It's Black Friday today and I have been bombarded with dozens of emails PER BRAND to make me want more, desire more, crave more and purchase more. I almost fell for that but I. did. not. buy. a. thing.
Yet.
So it's time to focus on what I already have - and put that extra money on my savings account so I don't feel tempted to touch it! - and what I have been using as of lately. As I have done previously (here, here and here!), let me share with you what I have been using and what I will re-purchase or never again!

Here are my 7 latest empties:
HAIR
Moroccanoil Treatment Oil
You might feel you have already seen me talk about this product before? It's because I have indeed. I go through one every other month since 2012, I love putting a few drops with my hydrating or detangling cream before styling my hair in the morning. Will rebuy, always.
BODY
Afrikin Body Wash
First of all: I love the packaging aesthetically! It's not the most practical under the shower or with a lot of moisture (it kind of moulds?!) but it is indeed pretty. I only find AFRIKIN products when I stay at The Table Bay Hotel in Cape Town, South Africa and I love them. They combine the most luxurious African oils and scents turning them into something absolutely unique. I might have snatched a few back home - they smell so good! I can't resist -, as these are amenities worth the steal!
Dove Cucumber & Green Tea Deodorant
I went through a bottle of the spray version in September and this is the roll-on one. Dove deodorants never fail me, they will always be my go-to. I have been using the cucumber line for years and it is my favourite. I do rebuy this in spray and roll-on very often.
SKIN CARE
Avène Cleanance Cleasing Gel
I love this product so much I had bought two containers, one is in my Algarve house in Portugal and the other, the one emptied, was in my house in Luanda, Angola. And I also have a small travel-size container I used to fill for any upcoming trip that could arise. The fact that I use this product as a cleanser after I remove my makeup is a bit of a legacy of being a former acne-prone skin girl as it is aimed at that type of skin foremost. I rarely get spots lately - only around that time of the month - so this might be the last time I have purchased it but not because I don't love it - I absolutely do! - but I need something aimed at my now more on the dry end of things skin.
Caudalie Vinoperfect Radiance Serum Complexion Correction
I used this product for the first time many years ago and hadn't repurchased it in a while. But I saw that Andreea Ali had mentioned it as one of her most recommended products and I bought it again. It is a serum I use after double cleasing my skin and leave it on for a minute or two before I apply my sunscreen and moisturiser. I still do not feel confident enough to tell you I truly feel it does something on my dark spots - I feel nothing really does - but I know serums are an exercise of patience and there is so much they can do. I would rebuy this one but I am not in a hurry, let's put it that way!
Caudalie Vinopure Clear Skin Purifying Toner
I must confess I am not the best toner user in the world as I often forget it in my skincare routine. I hope Caroline Hirons, the skincare (and toning) queen doesn't read this! But I need to improve at this so that it also helps in the exfoliating process and in the aforementioned topic of improving my dark spots. This is the travel-size container I just finished yet I have the regular size one already open in Algarve but hard to finish as I am not currently living there and I cannot pack it for a travel. First world problems indeed!
Lumene Waterproof Eye and Lip Make Up Remover
I have spoken about Lumene a few months ago and how it became my favourite skincare brand in the world. I went through this bottle way too fast, it was effective and gentle on my eyes. I don't use waterproof make up but it worked on the one I use. Could rebuy.
