Our first time was a rainy winter Sunday morning in July 2023 and we have been going ever since. This market is popular and frequently recommended. Supporting over 40 local farmers and 80 artisanal food traders, it attracts thousands of people every week. Unless you arrive around opening hour, it can feel quite crowded. He was very friendly and shared his love for dried fruits and nuts. I purchased chia seeds - which I eat every morning - and macadamia nuts to roast at home, according to Rainier's instructions. The market opens on Wednesday evenings and weekends. The produce is vibrant in colour, the food is beautifully cooked and varied and the vibe is energetic at the market.
