Love is Blind UK Season 2 | Episode-by-Episode Reviews & Reactions
Love is Blind UK 2025 - Season 2 on Netflix

I love the finer things in life: a beautifully decorated house, a gorgeous hotel with a view, brewing an exceptional tea whilst reading the latest novel nobody else has grabbed yet, a beautifully decorated table and then... trash tv. I watch it all and my TV Show tracker TV TIME doesn't like, as it just crowned me...

Hello, I am Jess and I am a Reality TV Junkie. Hey Jess!

My favourite channel in the United States is Bravo TV and if they produced it, I have watched it. And moreover, I just love any kind of reality tv, especially the unscripted kind such as Married at First Sight or The Traitors.

When Love is Blind US was launched in 2020 just around Valentines Day, little did we know that a few days later, we would be stuck at home during a global pandemic and we'd become hooked on those real people's storylines and love lives. Yet I also think it was one of the most genuine seasons as people were a little less camera conscious and didn't realise the stepping stone it would be to fame. I will always love the Lauren & Cameron in pod chemistry from the get go (and happy that they are married and expecting their first time after a long fertility journey), but nowadays I try to stir away from the fast "I love you's" that you know are just for show. Speaking of fast feelings on camera, it was just the other day I opened my tiktok account and guess who was doing a live with just 17 watchers, me being the unfortunate one of them?

Where is Sam Klein from Love is Blind UK Season 1? Doing lives for likes, I guess

Sam-effing-Klein! Oh my God. I did the screenshot in disbelief and swiped his live down. I don't want to give that man any views. I love it more when Tiktok's algorithm takes me to Nicole and Benaiah's content. They are still together, do lots of yoga, yummy recipes and travel extensively. Much better for her and them! bye bye Sam!

But let's take a step back and...

What is Love is Blind really about?

Love is Blind is a heteronormative dating show or social experiment where two quarters of the same house (or building) collide. On one side you have single men and on the other, single women. Both sides can meet on date in parallel pods yet they cannot see each other, they can only share their voice and experiences, such as having the same meal or musical instrument on each side. Through many dates that take place in a few days, they have to discover other people and... fall in love. If they do, they have to get engaged to meet in person. And after that, they go on a holiday together where they get to know each other more before trying a few weeks living together. At the end of the experiment, they have to attend their wedding. Some weddings go through and lead to happy marriages (and offspring!), some do not get past the I do's.

What is the season being reviewed here?

In the past 5 years, several franchises were developed around the world, like in Sweden or Brazil. This one is Love is Blind in the United Kingdom, Season 2.

Here are my spoiler-full Episodes 1-10 reviews:

Episode 10 - A Risk Worth Taking

Time to hear some YESSESSSSSSS at the altar! Or not!

  • Bardha says... no... O. M. G. I was absolutely not expecting this. I was rooting for this couple from the first time they entered the pods together. Their chemistry, their conversations, their little videos together... This is so so sad. I am sure Jed will be heartbroken and will not go back with her...
  • Kieran and Megan say yes. Okay... I understand they get along great but I feel they are more buddies than lovers... I don't know. Anyhow, good for them!
  • Billy and Ashleigh saying YES was... surprising? He seemed to be about to have a bout of diarrhea during the whole process. And then when they did the post-wedding interview, they looked like co-worker celebrating a project being well executed, not a wedding... argh!
  • Kal and Sarover saying YES was JUST NICE! So happy for them! And how happy Bali is now!

Time for the reunion!

Episode 9 - Don't Let Anyone Dim Your Sparkle

The engagements are almost over so it's time to pick up wedding dresses and suits and celebrate the hen-dos!

  • We only have 4 couples now as Katisha and Jav are out of the experiment. Of course. Never believed in them as a couple anyway. I wonder if Demola will come back to the scene now that she is available again?
  • To be honest: I don't adore this kind of episode and usually skip it or scroll on my phone whilst it is on...
  • It's nice to see how Bardha and her mother have come a long way and are absolutely reconnected through this endeavour.
  • I like Billy and Ashleigh since the get go but damn, that man is so triggered by her food habits & her job & the idea of long distance, albeit temporary, between them. He truly needs therapy in my opinion.
  • About Bardha and Jed having a hard time about who pays for what: indeed, finances is a big hurdle for couples. But I understand her the most, I also hate people paying anything for me. Go Bardha! Hope they resolve this tho, I am rooting for them!
  • Speaking of Bardha and Jed, it's time to see them... get married? Please please please...

Couples Predictions so far, based on this episode

  • Billy & Ashleigh - I am getting scared about this one, guys...
  • Kal & Sarover - he is very straighforward (and can seem harsh) but I can see them work
  • Jed & Bartha - please you both SAY YES, oh my heart!

Episode 8 - Walking away

This episode shows how a relationship is put to the test and the power of friendship

  • Megan shares with Katisha about last night's out: she was out with Kieran and other contestants and as seen in the previous episode, Jav went on his own, leaving Katisha heart broken. Megan tells Katisha that Jav and Sophie were together in a photobooth talking for some time, which is uncomfortable. Men: don't do that. Don't go to a photobooth with another woman who is not your family or your wife.
  • Jav calls his mates Patrick and Kieran for support. Kieran stands with Megan - good on him! - and Katisha leaves Jav.
  • Kal and Sarover meet her mother and sister and her mother is a block of ice. Kal is stuttering a lot... "we have a lot in common!" "yes, what?" "hehe, a lot in common". I understand he is feeling intimidated. But he does win them over after talking further. Good for them because Sarover really wanted her mother's approval deep down.
  • Bali, Sarover's mother, is absolutely stunning btw.

Couples Predictions so far, based on this episode

  • Billy & Ashleigh - still think they are going to make it
  • Kal & Sarover - meeting the mother-in-law and winning her over made me believe in them again
  • Jed & Bartha - love love love love them!

Episode 7 - Let the first dance be ours

We are 14 days away from the wedding ceremonies. We see the couples settle furthermore into their relationships back at home and with their families and friends.

  • Kieran and Megan train for their first dance at Blackpool Tower, which is sweet. She is a really good dancer. She is back at not having money to buy more fabric for her dresses and she is almost naked. Poor girl.
  • Jav and Katisha are headed to his home town. He seems to be quite inflexible and wanting to put hurdles in everything Katisha says. It's annoying.
  • Ash and Billy are still fighting on eating one cucumber or two at a time. Then she shares her positive experience with food as she was growing up and how much it is a source of joy for her and it made me realise Billy might have an eating disorder tbh.
  • Jed and Bardha meet a friend of hers and she has a barrage of questions for Jed. I didn't like that friend, her negative attitude and her questions anyway.
  • Jav's mother is a riot, she seems nice. Jav's sister is scared and seems possessive. She calls Jav the baby of the family. How sexy for Katisha to know she is potentially marrying a baby.
  • Ash and Billy meet his dad and he seems to be a jovial and nice guy. He is worried about Ash being air crew, as Billy was from the start. Let's see how they move forward with their divergent schedules in the future.
  • All couples meet again for drinks and drama. Kieran gets on Jav about him not being in love with Katisha and Katisha gets defensive.
  • Sarover shares with the girls that she is struggling with her mother not being sure about Kal.
  • And then other people from the pods come to have a drink too. First comes Patrick - who says he didn't fall in love in the pods - and thereafter comes Aanu and she doesn't even want to say hello to him. Lady is hurt she wasn't his spleenic choice. And then they have a conversation and it doesn't go well.
  • Sophie comes along and most men go nuts about her. Kieran keeps his cool as much as possible but Jav seems very interested in her. It's sad.
  • Kieran and Sophie talk and settle their experience from dating in the pods. I find Kieran very respectful of Megan. When he goes back to Megan, who is with Ash, she gets very aggressive about Sophie and conveys that Kieran doesn't really know Sophie like she does. What we all know is that Sophie is wearing a dress a size too small for her.
  • Sophie and Jav talk and he is completely enamoured by her. It's sad #2.
  • Jav and Katisha are back at home and things don't look great for them. He talks about how interesting it was to talk to Demola, making Katisha insecure. And then he mentions Sophie, not realising he is being insensitive. To make things worse, he goes out late at night without Katisha. She is heartbroken. It's sad #3.

Couples Predictions so far, based on this episode

  • Billy & Ashleigh - still think they are going to make it
  • Kal & Sarover - not that confident about them...
  • Jed & Bartha - love love love love them!

Episode 6 - It's about to get real

The couples are back in the UK and we see how they settle into "married" life with each other, friends, family and their phones back!

  • Risk is averted with Ashleigh's father as expected! Her father accepts the relationship with Billy and walking her down the aisle. She gets super emotional about it and all is good in the world.
  • Sarover and Katisha meet for some girl talk
  • Kieran and Megan say I love you. I had forgotten about them, but they seem to be way more problem-free than I would have thought. After the first "I love yous", they get very emotional and seem genuinely happy.
  • Jav and Jed meet. Their names are cool together.
  • Kieran shows Megan his apartment and she likes it. They are positively surprising me. And then they meet his friends and it goes relatively well, even if they also are cautious of the situation.
  • Sarover and Kal travel together and meet his mother and grandmother. They are both lovely and Sarover is a model daughter-in-law, saying all the right things.
  • Ashleigh and Billy debrief about their lives together as the proper Army people they are.
  • Jav and Katisha speak about Demola again. I swear, it's the never ending subject. And then Katisha and Demola meet, at last, and have a talk over what happened to them in the pods. I hope this puts that situation to rest. But I doubt it. I will just say Demola seems way more demure now than the love bomber he was in the pods.
  • Bardha and Jed meet her parents and it's so sweet and emotional. They both fall in love with Jed and give their blessing to their relationship. And also wish for 6 grandchildren! Eish!
  • Ash and Billy go grocery shopping and all hell breaks lose as Billy is very strict about their diet. And Ashleigh is not having any of it. I understand her very much, I hate people telling me what to eat or not.

Couples Predictions so far, based on this episode

  • Billy & Ashleigh - they have a good dynamic going on, I hope they can move on from their different views on food
  • Kal & Sarover - they seem to have everything to stay together but I am not that convinced anymore. Sarover seems to be more invested than him...
  • Jed & Bartha - love love love them!

Episode 5 - The End of the Honeymoon (Phase)

Couples continue to discover more about each other with activities around the island. They have fun, deep conversations and relaxing moments together.

  • Jed and Bardha continue to have great chemistry but he has to learn to let go of his "macho man" controlling modus operandi. Bardha has been an independent woman and she won't - and mustn't - let go of that.
  • We see the host Matt and Emma Willis again and how great and tan do they look!
  • Jav and Katisha talk about staying together if they don't get married in the end of the experience. Boy... I don't think it's a good sign they are already heading into their social experiment with this mindset... the purpose of LIB is not to just date, it's to get married, it's part of the game. I still cannot wrap my mind around this couple tbh.
  • But as the hosts arrive, it signals it's time to head back to the UK, where couples will leave together in new temporary flats. And they will be handed back their phones and see their family & friends again!
  • I don't adore when other couples meddle with another couple's decision, but I understand Ashleigh wanting to speak to Katisha about her relationship with Jav. It makes Katisha cry. She is having a hard time and people are also promoting that.
  • Oh my God, as they are back in the UK, the music playing is the opening credit to Married at First Sight US... "no holding back, no holding back!"! LOL
  • I love seeing Jed and Bardha enmeshing their lives together, cooking together and enjoying each other. Love it!
  • Ashleigh introduces her father to Billy. Yet he didn't know she was going on this experiment and doesn't understand the whole "getting engaged in the blink of an eye" concept. I am hoping this is fake drama and he gets to know Billy before being against the whole process.

Couples Predictions so far, based on this episode

  • Billy & Ashleigh - let's see how that "meeting the dad" meeting go. Yet they seem to really enjoy each other so I hope they are strong enough no matter what happens
  • Kal & Sarover - I don't think I have seen them during the episode?
  • Jed & Bartha - love them!

Episode 4 - She Changed her Mind Overnight

Hearts are broken and jaws are dropped as dramatic decisions are made. Five newly engaged couples jet off to Cyprus and spend their first night together.

  • We are back at the uncomfortable date between Patrick and Aanu and he is just not having it. Following his gut/spleen instinct, he tells her he doesn't want to pursuit their relationship any longer. She had just written him a song and she was excited to share it with him, but I also think she was rude in the previous date. They have a limited time frame to know each other, making faces at the camera and focusing on eating shouldn't be her priority. Bubye!
  • Jed proposes to Bardha and it is a sweet moment. I am rooting for them!
  • Kieran and Megan meet. They seem happy. I still don't feel them tho. BTW, I didn't know fabric was that expensive in the UK. Megan's dresses has so many cutout, poor thing, she couldn't afford more fabric on her. She must be cold.
  • And then, in the biggest plot twist ever... Katisha ditches Demola at the last minute and then goes back to Jav and he proposes in less than 5 minutes. It all seems to be going too fast. I liked Jav on previous episodes but I don't love how he talks about her afterwards (he mentions she is a "prize" and he is the winner?). And then, in another twist for me, I feel sorry for Demola. He is a gentleman and celebrates Jav back at the Male Quarters, which was heartbreaking and honourable of him. Ohhhhh, I don't know what to think about this, I am not feelin' it!
  • Jed and Bardha meet and they are stunning together. I didn't realise he was so tall. The chemistry is out of this world.
  • Jav and Katisha meet and... I feel nothing, although she seems genuinely happy. She is stunning, but he just seems to be way too young for her. Argh.

And thennnn, we jump to their idyllic trip to Cyprus. I have never been to Cyprus but they convey it's incredible and romantic. The villas the couples are staying at as well as the infinity pools is amazing... wait, let me google where they are so I can add it to my dream list...

Cap St George Hotel and Resort in Peyia
Cap St George Hotel and Resort in Peyia... amazing!

Back to the episode. We are back with our couples and a few episodes in, I had almost forgotten about Billy and Ash! We see Jav and Katisha getting to know each other... Kal & Sarover in the pool... and I didn't love that interaction. Kal wants to meet Katisha because she did his "boy dirty" (he is speaking about Demola) and Sarover makes him see both sides. And then he says she is not his usual type. Argh, I hate when men do that. Sarover must be really self confident so that she doesn't feel bad about him hanging with his usual type: blonde girls with light eyes. Eyeroll. Focus on the gorgeous woman you have before you, you idiot!

Couples continue to meet within themselves and spend their first night together. Some are caste about it, some are coy about it. As I have a doctorate in Married at First Sight and Love is Blind courses, I don't think it is that positive for couples to sleep together on their first night together. That level of highly charged intensity usually pick falls afterwards. Looking at you, Katisha and Jav. Looking at you.

And then comes a moment I don't adore in these programs, when all the couples meet during their time away. I always feel it enforces more drama than connects them, but oy vey, this is a reality show. Every body is judging everybody's relationship, but Katisha's in the eye of the cyclone. Kal goes straight to her to ask about her decision, which I don't think it's nice. Sarover is not feeling confident at all about the way he feels about her. Oh boy...

Couples Predictions so far, based on this episode

  • Billy & Ashleigh - still rooting for them. And I love men who shave, so go Billy!
  • Kal & Sarover - disappointed in their dynamics, I must confess.
  • Jed & Bartha - still rooting for them, this episode showed what a great chemistry they have

Episode 3 - Trust my Spleen

One single is torn between two solid connections. Another makes it clear he's made up his mind and someone starts to doubt the message from his spleen.

  • We start with Kal and Sarover's engagement. These moments are always awkward on camera but cannot wait to see how their relationship evolves
  • Sophie and Megan have a head to head about Kieran. Honestly, I didn't imagine myself saying but I am with Sophie on this one...
  • Love Sophie's reading glasses by the way, the last two pairs I bought in the past 5 years are big golden frames like hers.
Sophie's Glasses <3
  • Patrick and Aanu have the same chemistry I have with avocados. I never have them. Spleenic shenanigans or not, when she says that if her mother tells her she doesn't feel a man for her, she will leave him, is such a turnoff for me. Reveals severe emotional immaturity.
  • We have sweet moments with the Queen that Katisha is. Seriously, she is so stunning. Demola even writes her a poem. Again, I feel it's just for the camera, he doesn't feel sincere. She does feel overwhelmed with his intensity yet compares him with Javen - now Jav - but I think it's unfair for him. He goes at a slower pace and as he says back at the male quarters, he will not love bomb her. Argh, Demola is such a red flag! Hope Katisha doesn't fall for that.
  • Kieran and Megan have a date but I didn't care about it.
  • Jed and Bardha have one of the most romantic dates ever when she does a word soup for him with special sentences and words she wants him to read. I love it. It's a great date idea. I will copy that with the husband!
  • Aanu is really harsh with Patrick during their date. She reminds me of Raven doing jumping jacks a few seasons prior (well, that guy deserved that and more, in the end). He asks if she can sing, and she doesn't. He is talking and asking questions and she just wants to eat... nah, let it be, bruh.
  • Katisha makes a decision to stay with love bomber Demola but as she gets to her date with demure Jav, she is conflicted again. Have we learned nothing from Nicole on season 1?
  • Kieran and Megan get engaged... argh.
  • Aanu is done eating and finally writes a song for Patrick but he decided to trust his spleen, whatever that means.

Couples Predictions so far, based on this episode

  • Billy & Ashleigh - we don't see them on this episode as they are already engaged
  • Kal & Sarover - they are engaged!
  • Jed & Bartha - he proposed, yeay!

Episode 2 - This is how Triangles are Formed

Honest conversations lead to deeper connections and even the big question. Love triangles are formed, and one is broken just as quickly.

We meet new contestants in these episode such as:

  • Javen and Katisha. Javen gets immediately on my nerves as I don't love people who are always in on a joke. I just cannot take them seriously and I take it as a sign of immature childishness. Regardless, I immediately fall for Katisha from Scotland - I love anything from Scotland, especially its people! - and I absolutely adore her hair. She also has a few moments with Demola throughout the episode, but I didn't believe two things: she said he is soft spoken which I think he is just playing and then when he speaks about his grandma and she gets emotional, he smiles like "yeah, she fell for that. Checked list item". I think he knows there is a camera and it shows. Hope I am wrong as she seems to be a nice girl who attracts jerks.
  • We meet Jed and Bardha. I love how Love is Blind UK, from its first season, really showcases the diversity of the British Isles. Jed is half Lebanese - I will try his "hummus on roast" suggestion one day! - and Bardha is Albanian. I love their instant chemistry and how they feel their lives could blend in together seamlessly. Swoon.

Back to couples we've met in the previous episode:

  • Billy speaks out about his fear of dating a cabin crew again as it did not work out for him in the past. Ashleigh smoothes things over reassuring him that they want the same things for the future. Afterwards, they are back to being giddy kids when on dates together, it is so endearing
  • Kal and Sarover have a conversation about their heritage again and are super mature about it.
  • Kieran and Megan have a moment, but I still don't feel them. Kieran has a date with Sophie and does all the work on his own, as she is really guarded and only shares superficial things. You know he wants to dig deeper but he is hitting a wall.
  • A few dates later, we are back with Kieran and Sophie and we can understand why she has been so guarded, as she was let down by her mother at a younger age. She is protecting herself and slowly thawing in regards to Kieran. I can get that. In the process, she doesn't seem to be curious about him or asking any questions (or being edited that way). Still, she gives me the superficial ick...
  • The last few minutes made me uncomfortable. Megan and Kieran share a super sweet moment with a gift from Japan he gives her and then she is loud about it in the female quarters (after saying she doesn't speak about her dates with many people...). So loud she is even heard over at the male quarters. Sophie is heartbroken. I won't judge her for that.

Couples Predictions so far, based on this episode

  • Billy & Ashleigh - yeay for their engagement! Now, will they go all the way? Let's wait to see what happens!
  • Kal & Sarover - happy for their proposal and glad they didn't feel pressured to jump into the "I love you's". Still rooting for them
  • Jed & Bartha - I am feeling them.

Episode 1 - Eat, Sleep, Date, Repeat or Are Aanu's lashes longer than her dress?

A new batch of singles enter the pods. One pair instantly find a spiritual connection, while someone has reservations about his potential partner's job.

  • Matt and Emma Willis are back and they look as gorgeous as ever. I am not in the know in regards to most famous people in the UK, but I know they have come a long way and are happy and healthy together nowadays. In the US, the host Nick and Vanessa Lachey are also called "Mom and Dad" but here, the hosts give more of a BFF vibe.
  • We start with Ashleigh, a Cabin Crew Manager. She says she has been single for over 4 years and doesn't want the preconception of being a Cabin Crew in the way of dating. That must be why she just throws it out there at every first conversation, I guess. And could she be more naked with a dress on?
  • I love Ashleigh's banter during her first date with fellow Army man Billy from Ireland. But I also felt she dropped some hints about her physical looks when saying she was called Barbie in the Army... is that just me?
  • Okay so I know they do very positive or negative editing for the show, but Sophie is getting on my nerves and she hasn't been on my screen for even a minute. Yet she softens as soon as Kieran, the nerdy gaming entrepreneur enters the pod, doesn't she? Also, was the memo to be naked whilst being dresses? So much skin, no wonder Sophie needs to have a blanket over her in the pod...
  • Then we follow Kieran - who has amazing wrinkles around his eyes when he smiles - get on a first date with Megan, a dance instructor who is dressed for the circus and also needs to wrap herself in a blanket as her skirt is so short she would have her unmentionables on show for the cameras
  • We then meet Patrick, who is a human design coach and believes in spirituality and on his spleen, a part of our body we can totally live without
  • We briefly meet Christine while she is on a date with Patrick and I am glad at least one person was allowed to wear a long dress in this journey.
  • Aanu, the singer, has lashes longer than her yellow dress. I like how she says "Patrick is sweet. Patrick is deeeeep". I laughed.
  • Hey there Sarover. I also google my name from time to time. Didn't know it was shameful to do that?!
  • I love Sarover's instant chemistry on her date with Kal, who seems to be a very nice man. They are both business owners and laser focused on their success so there is a bit of mirroring there. Cannot wait to see what happens with this duo
  • Back to Ashleigh - now just Ash - and Billy. I love how they both over smile during their dates with each other, it feels nice. It's also because of the feel good emotions this type of show is worth it. Love Billy's musical love tattoo story. And also, she is wearing pants and sitting comfortably on the floor. See? Not that hard!
  • Then back to Kieran, dating Megan (who is in her Lululemon's attire, again, comfort)(also, I have that set as well!) and they have good vibes but I just don't feel real chemistry there. Afterwards he dates Sophie who is beautiful in a midi white dress but seems bored out of her mind whilst laying on the couch and half replying to his questions. What a turnoff.
  • I like Patrick and Aanu's banter, especially when speaking about Nigeria, but I only feel friendly vibes from them both, not romantic ones.
  • I love how Kal and Sarover's conversation deepens and they talk about heritage. One being half-Pakistani and the other being Indian, there might be conflict for their families. But I think they can overcome if they want it.

Couples Predictions so far, based on this episode

  • Billy & Ashleigh <3
  • Kal & Sarover <3
  • Patrick and nobody because he is too young and intense to get married!
